Community Based Childcare
Lescon Learners Childcare Centre opened in 1984 and has been offering quality childcare to meet the need of families in this community. We are a non-profit childcare centre operated by a Board of Directors consisting of Lescon Childcare parents.
We are licensed by the Ministry of Education to provide care for a total capacity of 100 children . We also provide subsidized childcare spaces for eligible families.

Board of Directors
Our Board of Directors is made up of 6 to 11 parents. They meet every 4th Wednesday of the month from 6:30 am to 8:00 pm in the school staff room. The Board of Directors assists the Executive Director in making decisions about the Centre and it's finances. If you are interested please contact us for position availability.

CWELCC - Canada Wide Early Learning Child Care
Lescon Childcare participates in fee reductions for eligible chlidren under that age of 6 years as per the currently guidelines. Currently our fees are reduced by 50% of the regular April 2022 fees. (frozen since that date)
Program Information
Our programming is based on observations of the children's interests. All the activities and learning opportunities are play based. Staff interact with the children to extend their learning with the environment as the 3rd teacher.
